All you need to drive smart in the Czech Republic
While electromobility is a current trend in the automotive world, many drivers have little to no experience with electric vehicles, and therefore don’t even consider them—even though the features of an EV might suit them perfectly. The renowned magazine Svět motorů now offers a solution: the opportunity to experience an electric vehicle firsthand.
In September 2025, the event Jízdy Světa motorů, under the theme “Zažijte elektromobil” (Experience an Electric Car), will take place, offering attendees the chance to take a ride in a variety of electric vehicles from different brands. The event will be held on Saturday, September 6th, at the OC Letňany shopping mall in Prague, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
There will be more than 100 vehicles on-site, and visitors will have the opportunity to see and test electric and hybrid cars from 20 different brands!
The event will also feature a rich accompanying program, including appearances by editors of Svět motorů, such as the popular Martin Vaculík. Guests can also look forward to a firefighter demonstration, a kids’ play area, and food stalls.
The Jízdy Světa motorů event “Experience an Electric Car” was originally scheduled for 2024 but was cancelled at the last minute due to a severe weather warning. Let’s hope this year’s edition goes off without a hitch!
Jízdy Světa motorů follows in the footsteps of previous events organized by this popular automotive magazine. In the past, they hosted Auta na náplavce, a unique open-air car show in the very heart of Prague. In 2020, because of COVID, the format changed to Jízdy Světa motorů events in cities like Prague, Brno, and Plzeň, where people could test drive various cars. This year, in response to trends in the auto industry, the event focuses specifically on test driving electric vehicles.
