The Munich Motor Show will return in 2025. The German event IAA Mobility, focused on passenger cars, will once again return after a two-year break. This year’s auto show in Munich is scheduled to take place from September 9 to 14, 2025. Once again, it will be a broadly conceived car showcase, held both at the Munich exhibition center and in the city center of the Bavarian capital. We already know a fair amount about the new models that will be presented at this year’s Munich auto show.
Which brands will appear at IAA 2025?
It’s hardly surprising these days that domestic brands will take center stage. Volkswagen CEO Thomas Schäfer has confirmed that a small electric crossover, the ID.2X, will be unveiled in Munich, with a market launch planned for 2026. Also expected is the reveal of the second generation of the popular T-Roc.
Automaker Opel has also confirmed its participation, planning to celebrate 60 years since it unveiled the first European design study at the IAA. The celebration will likely involve a new concept vehicle.
Škoda, the Mladá Boleslav-based brand, is also expected to be present in Munich. This year, it’s set to unveil a new urban electric crossover, the Epiq, which may make its public debut right in the Bavarian capital.
Cupra will showcase a camouflaged version of the Raval, a production-ready vehicle. Raval will be part of the Core brand group’s urban EV lineup, representing a premium urban SUV. Alongside it, Cupra will also introduce a new concept vehicle, which it describes as an embodiment of the brand’s vision and future design language.
Chinese brands BYD and Xpeng have also confirmed their attendance.

IAA 2025: Key information
The event, officially titled IAA Mobility 2025, will take place from September 9 to 14, 2025, once again combining exhibition spaces at Munich Trade Fair Center and in central Munich, including Marienplatz, Odeonsplatz, and Königsplatz. The segment known as Open Space, held in downtown Munich, will focus on general consumers, not only of new vehicles, whereas the IAA Summit, held at the trade fair grounds, will target corporate clients, suppliers, and automotive decision-makers.

The presentation sites (Open Space) in the city center will once again be open to the public free of charge. On the other hand, the conference portion, aimed at professionals, is ticketed — a one-day pass costs €154, a two-day pass €294, and a four-day pass €424. Students and people with disabilities can purchase reduced admission, with single-day access for €54 and two-day tickets for €100.
The event will be held under the motto “It’s all about mobility.” It aims to build on the previous edition from 2023, which attracted half a million visitors. A total of 750 exhibitors from 38 countries were present, including not only automakers but also companies involved in various aspects of mobility. This will mark the third edition of IAA in Munich, following years of hosting the show in Frankfurt am Main.
